As part of work to carry on improving the website, The Margate Handbook website has had a bit of a re-design. This is all part of the larger plan, to make our website the source of information for the Margate area.

In each issue of the Margate Handbook, we feature a series of sections providing important information for local residents including important phone numbers, upcoming local events and details about local clubs and groups.

This section aims to collate all the information we've given to readers throughout our issues, as a sort-of knowledgebase resource for loccal residents!

Featured Club

Thanet Decorative & Fine Arts Society

Our Society's aims are to promote the appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts. We provide an excellent and varied programme of illustrated lectures given by renowned experts in their particular field. During the year we have Study Days, Outings and Arts related holidays. Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month 2 pm for 2.30 pm start in St Peter's Church Hall, Hopeville Avenue, St. Peter's, Broadstairs . Car parking is available in the car park next to the Co-op store.

There is no waiting list for membership. Guests (admission £5). If you are interested in attending please first contact our Membership Secretary Mrs. B. Love telephone 01843 862330 for further details.
